7月29日（水）、東広島西条町御薗宇に位置するグループホーム「みそのっこ」と地域密着型特別養護老人ホーム「ゆずの家」に見学に行かせていただきました。
On July 29, we visited the group home Misonokko and the community-based special nursing home Yuzu no Ya, both located in Misono, Saijo, Higashihiroshima.
当日は、この2施設の設計に携わった感情環境デザイナーの杉本聡恵さんとインテリアデザインなどを手掛ける越智寿美礼さんが両施設を丁寧に案内してくださいました。
During the visit, Ms. Satomi Sugimoto, an emotional environment designer and Ms. Sumire Ochi both involved in architectural design of the two facilities, guided us through two places.
グループホーム「みそのっこ」は「いつまでも どこまでも フリースタイル」を理念に、入居者が施設であることを意識せずに過ごせる空間づくりがなされています。案内板をテキスタイルで表現していたり、あえて視線が抜けない空間を設け、安心して休憩ができる居場所をつくりだしたりするなど、細やかな工夫が施されていました。
Misonokko is designed with the aim of creating an environment where residents can live without feeling like they are in an institutional care facility. Thoughtful design features were incorporated throughout the building, such as fabric signboards and semi-enclosed spaces that provide residents with a comfortable sense of privacy and places to relax.
また、「ゆずの家」でも一般的な高齢者施設の雰囲気は極力抑えられており、入居者が親しみを感じられる空間づくりがなされていました。諸室には当時の暮らしを思わせる名称が付けられ、時代の雰囲気を感じられるカーペットの色が採用されるほか、館内の至る所に花や本、くすっと笑える言葉が飾られるなど、利用者が安心して過ごせる環境が整えられていました。
At Yuzu no Ya, the design prioritizes creating a familiar and welcoming environment rather than a conventional institutional atmosphere. The rooms are named with something that reminds the residents of their daily lives back then, while the colors of the carpets also reflects the times. Flowers, books, and humorous messages are displayed throughout the building, creating comfortable environment where residents can feel at ease.
また両施設を通して、利用者の方々が手を振ってくださったり、笑顔で挨拶をしてくださる姿が印象的でした。施設全体が利用者の方々だけでなく、来訪者にとっても居心地の良い空間であることを実感しました。
今回の見学では、利用者の方々の視点に寄り添った空間設計の工夫と、それを実現するためのプロセスについて、多くの学びを得ることができました。お忙しい中、貴重なお時間をいただきまして、ご案内くださった杉本さま、越智さまをはじめ、「みそのっこ」「ゆずの家」の職員の皆さま、そして入居者の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。
Throughout our visit, we were especially touched by the residents, who greeted us with warm smiles and friendly waves. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Satomi Sugimoto and Ms. Sumire Ochi for kindly guiding us through the facilities, as well as to the staff and residents of Misonokko and Yuzu no Ya for their warmly welcoming us.
