6月15日から18日の4日間にわたり、日台合同デザインワークショップが開催されました。
台湾から学生・教授計18名を迎え、広島大学の4年生18名とともに、基町高層アパートが抱える現代的課題に対する提案に取り組みました。1日目は基町アパートに関する講義や見学、オープニングパーティを通じた交流を行い、2・3日目は班ごとに議論や調査を重ねながら提案を作成しました。そして4日目には、各班が成果をまとめた最終発表を行いました。
言語や文化の違いから意思疎通に苦労する場面もありましたが、限られた時間の中で同じ課題に真摯に向き合い、それぞれの視点を活かした提案を形にしていく姿が印象的でした。異なる背景を持つ学生同士が協働することで、新たな視点や発想に触れることができ、非常に刺激的で学びの多い4日間となったのではないかと思います。
このような貴重な国際交流の機会を通じて、建築やまちづくりに対する視野を広げるとともに、多様な価値観を共有しながら課題解決に取り組む重要性を改めて実感しました。
Japan–Taiwan Workshop was held from June 15 to June 18.
A total of 18 students and professors from Taiwan joined 18 fourth-year students from Hiroshima University to develop proposals addressing contemporary issues facing the Motomachi High-Rise Apartments.
On the first day, participants attended lectures and visited the sites to learn about the Motomachi Apartments, followed by an opening party that provided an opportunity for interaction and ice-breaking.
During the second and third days, each group engaged in discussions, research, and proposal development. The final day, all groups presented their work and shared their ideas.
Although the language barrier and cultural differences sometimes created communication challenges, it was inspiring to see participants sincerely engage with the same issues and develop proposals that reflected their diverse perspectives.
Working together with students from different backgrounds provided valuable opportunities to encounter new viewpoints and ideas, making the workshop an enriching and stimulating experience for everyone involved.
Through this valuable international exchange, I think it was great opportunity for participants to broadened their perspectives while gaining a deeper appreciation for the importance of collaborating across cultures and sharing diverse values in the process of addressing complex challenges.
