本プロジェクトは2022年よりスタートし、昨年度をもって旧警察官舎の改修が一区切りを迎えました。今年度は「やってみたいを叶える場」をテーマに、月1〜2回程度のイベントやワークショップを開催するなど、試験的な運用を進めております！

This project began in 2022, and last fiscal year marked the completion of renovations to the former police officers’ quarters. This fiscal year, under the theme “A Place to Make Your Dreams Come True,” we are conducting trial operations, including holding events and workshops approximately once or twice a month!

その取り組みの一環として、9月には外壁塗装ワークショップ、10月には内壁漆喰ワークショップを実施し、建物は当初の姿からさらに生まれ変わりました！

As part of these efforts, we held an exterior wall painting workshop in September and an interior wall plastering workshop in October, further transforming the building beyond its original state!

また、12月に開催したイベントでは、若手アーティストによるコラボ展示とフード販売を行い、過去最多となる来場者をお迎えすることができました。この一年を通して、多くの方々とのつながりを実感できたことを大変嬉しく思っております✨

Additionally, at the event held in December, we hosted a collaborative exhibition by emerging artists and food sales, welcoming our highest number of visitors to date. Throughout this past year, we are truly delighted to have felt a strong connection with so many people. ✨

本発表会は、学生による多様な地域貢献活動を共有する場で、今年は大学・高等専門学校あわせて19校が登壇しました。

This presentation meeting is a venue for students to share various community contribution activities, and this year, a total of 19 universities and technical colleges participated.

今回私たちは、基町高層アパートで進めているプロジェクトについて発表いたしました。私たちの取り組みを多くの方に知っていただける貴重な機会を頂き、大変嬉しく思います✨

This presentation session serves as a platform for students to share their diverse community service activities. This year, 19 universities and technical colleges participated.

また、農業・スポーツ・書道・音楽など、さまざまな分野で地域と関わる学生のみなさんと交流でき、新たな刺激や学びを得ることができました🌱

Additionally, I was able to interact with students involved in various fields such as agriculture, sports, calligraphy, and music, gaining new inspiration and learning opportunities.🌱

引き続き、地域とともに歩む活動を進めてまいります！

大崎上島プロジェクトのご縁で、叡智学園の中高生8名が7月31日（木）に研究室を訪れてくれました！

Due to the connection with the Oosaki Kamijima Project, eight middle and high school students from Eichi Academy visited the laboratory on July 31 (Thursday)!

前半は、建築プログラムや研究室の紹介をしましたが、みんなとても興味をもって聞いてくれて、質問やリアクションもしっかりあって、とてもいい雰囲気で進みました。建築に興味がある子も多く、紹介しているこちらも楽しかったです！

In the first half, we introduced the architecture program and the laboratories, and everyone listened with great interest, asking questions and reacting actively, creating a very good atmosphere. Many of the kids are interested in architecture, and it was enjoyable for us to introduce it!

後半は、VR体験や施設見学へ。VRは初めてという子も多く、みんな楽しそうに体験してくれていました。

In the second half, we went for a VR experience and facility tour. Many of the kids were experiencing VR for the first time, and they all seemed to enjoy it.

構造系の実験棟では、木材に圧力をかけて強度を測る実験を一緒にやってみたり、たくさん質問をしてくれたりと、学ぶ姿勢がとても印象的でした。製図室では、学生が作ったプレゼンボードや模型だけでなく、空間の雰囲気や照明にも興味を持って見てくれていました。

In the structural experiment building, it was very impressive to see their eagerness to learn, as they participated in experiments to measure the strength of wood by applying pressure and asked a lot of questions. In the drawing room, they didn’t just look at the presentation boards and models created by the students, but also showed interest in the atmosphere and lighting of the space.

最後は「おもしろラボ」の見学へ。学生たちが手がけた改修の様子を見て、「すごい！」と盛り上がっていて、とても楽しんでくれていた様子が伝わってきました。

Finally, we visited the “Omoshiro Lab.” The students were excitedly discussing the renovations they worked on, and it was clear that they were having a great time.

みんなと少しずつ話す中で、それぞれに夢や「やってみたいこと」がたくさんあって、こちらも元気をもらえる時間になりました！

By talking little by little with everyone, I found that each person has many dreams and things they want to try, and it became a time that energizes me too!

今回の訪問が、将来の選択肢を広げるきっかけになってくれたら嬉しいです。またいつか、どこかでお会いできる日を楽しみにしています！

I hope this visit serves as an opportunity to widen our future options. I look forward to the day we can meet again, somewhere, sometime!
