研究室OBの紹介があり、広島県大竹市のカフェplus good dayさんのリノベーションプロジェクトが進行しています。
大竹市の女性メンバーによるまちづくり活動に端を発したこのカフェは、予約必須の人気店ですが、飲食の場としてのみならず、ワークショップや勉強会等も開催されている、大竹市のまちづくりアイコン的なスポットです。建物は築70年の古民家を利用しています。
10〜11月は、学部３年生が、建築ゼミナールⅡという授業の中で、リノベーションの企画提案を行います。先日はカフェを訪問して、ヒアリングや実測の調査を行いました。
オーナーさんの想いに触れながら、企画を提案するという機会は、学生にとってもまたとない学びになります。
さて、どんな企画が提案されるか、楽しみにしています。

With an introduction from an alumnus of our laboratory, a renovation project is underway at the cafe PLUS GOOD DAY in Otake City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
This café, which originated as a community development activity by female members of Otake City, is an iconic spot for community development in Otake City. The building is a 70-year-old old private house.
From October to November, third-year undergraduate students will propose renovation projects in a class called Architecture Seminar II. We recently visited the café to conduct hearings and on-site surveys.
Now, we are looking forward to seeing what kind of project will be proposed.
